Palermo Sunrise

This refreshing, vibrant drink captures the essence of Sicilian citrus, the exotic taste of Japanese yuzu, and the warmth of Moroccan spices

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Sicilian blood orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 15 ml yuzu juice
  • 45 ml gin
  • 10 ml Cointreau
  • 5 ml agave syrup
  • 2 dashes Moroccan bitters (homemade or store-bought)
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of ground cardamom
  • Ice cubes
  • Garnish - blood orange wheel and a sprig of mint

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the Sicilian blood orange juice, yuzu juice, gin, Cointreau, agave syrup, Moroccan bitters, cinnamon, and cardamom.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake well for about 15-20 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty.
  • Strain the cocktail into a chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a blood orange wheel and a sprig of mint.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the unique, harmonious blend of flavors in the Palermo Sunrise.
